Vocalists/songwriters Sarah Larkin and Sarah Ryan and guitarist Alex de Grassi are joined throughout by bassist David Hayes (Van Morrison), with appearances by electric guitar wizard Nina Gerber (Kate Wolf, Karla Bonoff), drummer Kirk Harwood (Norton Buffalo), violinist Jeremy Cohen (Quartet San Francisco), vocalist/mandolinist AJ Lee, percussionists Hamid Drake and Joe Craven (Dave Grisman), steel guitarist Dan “Lebo” Lebowitz (ALO) and Erik Yates on dobro. The album was produced by de Grassi, mixed by multi-Grammy® Award winning Chuck Ainlay, and mastered by Gavin Lurssen at Lurssen Mastering.

This recording project has been a long time in the making.  Begun at the very outset of the Covid pandemic, the early pre-production and arranging was done remotely by trading ideas over the internet and over the phone. The project was further slowed by Ms. Larkin’s life-threatening injuries from an auto accident, the loss of the duo’s gear in a house fire, and by other personal tragedies and setbacks. The completion of the project represents a triumph of resilience and determination that is reflected in the music and the lyrics, while the artist’s ability to adapt to the times and circumstances is reflected in the album’s title, Everything’s Changed.

For this project, The Real Sarahs teamed up with Grammy nominated guitarist and producer Alex de Grassi, whose extensive discography include recordings with Windham Hill Records, RCA, Narada Jazz, Earthbeat! and his own Tropo Records label.  Known for his intricate, highly orchestrated solo guitar compositions and arrangements, The Wall Street Journal has called his playing “flawless” and Billboard hails his “intricate finger-picking technique with an uncanny gift for melodic invention.” He has received commissions from the New York Guitar Festival and the Bay Area based String Letter Publishing and has toured extensively throughout the world.
